Dr. Am
anda Walsh grew up in Nashville. She attended Middle Tennessee State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 1998. In 2002, she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Mississippi State University, and the following year, she started a one year rotating internship in a small animal medicine and surgery center at Texas A&M University. After departing Texas A&M, Dr. Walsh spent several years in general practice before beginning emergency medicine. She really enjoys the challenges and excitement that emergency medicine has presented.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Walsh enjoys spending time with her husband, Sean, their 2 dogs (Addie and Ceili), and 3 cats (Gracie, Farley and Frannie). Her interests include traveling, biking, running, and hiking.
