Dr. Flood has been a diplomat of the American College of Internal Veterinary Medicine since 1999. She has practiced for several years in both the Northeast and the Southeast where she contributed not only as a veterinary internist, but also as an integral part in the management and training of both veterinary technicians and veterinary interns.
She enjoys SEC Football, traveling, tennis and spending time with her Lhasa Apso, Freckles, and Chihuahua, Tiny.
Dr. Shannon Flood
Dr. Shannon Flood joined NVS after completing a one-year medical oncology fellowship at the University of Tennessee Veterinary Medical Center. Dr. Flood received her DVM from Auburn University in 1992. Immediately following veterinary school she went on to complete a small animal internship at Mississippi State University. She then completed a small animal internal medicine residency at Cornell University’s Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital in 1997. Her special interests include medical oncology, liver disease, gastroenterology and coagulopathies.
