Rehabilitation

Just like people, sometimes pets need to participate in physical rehabilitation therapy.  Through our partnership with Rod Newman, Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner, Nashville Veterinary Specialists offers a variety of physical therapy treatments for pets.

Tissues of the body maintain elasticity and higher levels of functioning with controlled activity.  This is true of muscles as well as articular cartilage.  Pets that are involved in physical rehabilitation tend to recover quicker, maintain more muscle mass, and lose less motion of their joints.  This means your pet will be able to return to normal activities sooner.
