Neurology Technician – Licensed Veterinary Technicians required

The Neurology Technician serves as the primary technician to the Neurologist. They work to assist the Neurologist in their daily duties as well as carrying out their treatment/diagnostic and surgery plans. Neurological disease can be difficult for clients to understand.  Compassion, patience, professionalism, and kindness to all clients, whether in person or on the phone is a must.

Required Technician Skills:

  • Phlebotomy and catheterization skills
  • Patient restraint and handling skills
  • Anesthesia trained (Required to participate in weekend anesthesia on-call)
  • Patient radiograph skills- positioning and technique
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Pharmacology and medication administration skills
  • Good working knowledge of ECG and equipment associated with Neurology
  • Expected to be trained and learn how to run MRI
