Diplomate American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Neurology)
Dr. Dottie Williams is a Nashville native and attended Harding Academy, University School of Nashville, and Hillsboro High School. In 2008 she graduated Cum Laude from Emerson College in Boston with a Bachelor of Arts in writing, literature, and publishing. In 2015 she received her DVM from the University of Tennessee. She then completed a one-year rotating internship at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine followed by a three-year residency in neurology and neurosurgery at the University of Tennessee in 2019. Dr. Williams became board-certified in Veterinary Neurology in 2019 and is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. She also completed the ACVIM Certificate of Advanced Neurosurgery Training.
Within the field of veterinary neurology, her special interests include neurosurgery, feline neurology, and encephalitis. Outside of work, her hobbies include hiking and spending time outdoors with her husband and four dogs.
