Dr. Stacy Smith is a native Nashvillian. She attended the University of Notre Dame where she earned a BA in History and Pre-professional studies. She then worked as a surgery technician for 2 years before attending Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
Following graduation, Dr. Smith completed a one-year rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After completing the internship, she returned to Nashville to be closer to family. Dr. Smith had worked extensively in emergency and general practice before taking a position at Nashville Veterinary Specialists as a full-time Emergency Veterinarian.
During her free time, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with Cecilia, her daughter, and Patrick, her husband. She loves nature, live music, and watching her favorite hockey and football teams. She has two loveable pups at home, Miles and Bowie, who love to go on walks around the neighborhood and wrestle in the backyard.
