Veterinary Technician’s Assistant – Both Day and Evening Shifts available

This is an entry-level position with excellent potential for advancement. The Veterinary Technician’s Assistant provides that “extra set of hands” or the Veterinary Technician. Training is provided, but candidate must have some animal-related experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Restrain Patients for Exams/Procedures
  • Set-up patient beds for hospitalized patients
  • Set-Up for Procedures (i.e. central lines, sampling lines, NG tube, urethral unblocking, etc.)
  • Stock Supplies (i.e. catheters, scrub, alcohol, syringes, pee pads, fluids, fluid lines, etc.)
  • Maintain Laundry
  • Maintain Yard – Scoop poop, empty/change trash bag, clean up general debris, disinfect/deodorize
  • Collect Trash/Recycling
  • General Hospital Cleanliness
  • Restock/Clean Family Room

Performance Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work beyond scheduled hours if necessary
  • Must be able to multi-task and complete assigned tasks
  • Must be able to work in a busy, fast paced environment
