A referral from your primary care veterinarian is needed to schedule an appointment with one of our specialists. NVS serves as an extension of your primary care vet by providing specialty services when needed. Your primary care veterinarian knows the medical history of your pet, and is in the best position to determine if your pet needs advanced medical care. If your veterinarian detects conditions that require advanced specialty care, he or she will refer you to one of our specialists.
