Dr. Kennedy was drawn to veterinary medicine through her love of fast-paced, dynamic environments, where each day brings new challenges and opportunities to make a meaningful impact. Emergency medicine became a natural fit, offering the variety, urgency, and hands-on problem-solving she finds most rewarding.
Her clinical interests include managing toxicities, treating urethral obstructions, performing blood transfusions, and stabilizing critically ill patients. Before becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Kennedy spent four years working as a certified veterinary technician in emergency medicine, giving her a deep appreciation for teamwork and the full spectrum of emergency patient care.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Kennedy shares her home with her fiancé, Reed, their dog, Fievel, and two cats, Jobu and Squints. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, cross stitching, and exploring local walking trails with Fievel.
