Diplomate, American College Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care
Dr. Long graduated summa cum laude, in 2008, from the University of Tennessee receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition. She went on to earn her DVM, graduating cum laude, in 2012 from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a one-year rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery in New York, New York, followed by a three-year residency in Emergency/Critical Care at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Long became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2016. Dr. Long’s clinical interests include sepsis, trauma, and transfusion medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Long enjoys spending time outdoors with her black lab mix, Lenny, cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers and exploring the endless music scene in Nashville.
